Ambela is a small and tranquil beach on the south side of Syros.
To get there you take the main coastal road towards Posidonia and just after you pass Megas Gialos beach, there is a sign for Ambela. Turn left there and keep going for about 1 km until you get to a parking area by the beach.
Ambela is a lovely sandy beach with some trees and a few umbrellas. The turquoise blue water, the incredible rocks and the small white washed church on the hill above, all compose a unique image. This beach is also well protected from the north “meltemi” wind.
There is one cafeteria located behind the beach and some rented rooms in the small village. Ideal place for those looking for a quiet, slow pace holiday.
